Chris McCullough, a native of Baltimore, received a BA from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and a MFA in Painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Before arriving at YSU, she taught at Villa Julie College (now Stevenson University) in Stevenson, Maryland and as an assistant professor at Towson University in Towson, Maryland. Prior to receiving her M.F.A. she worked in the private sector as an art and creative director for advertising, publishing, and communications and marketing firms.
Chris teaches drawing, painting and illustration, and coordinates the Foundation Program at YSU. Her research interests focus primarily on narrative, figurative painting in oil and encaustic. Her work has been exhibited nationally and is included in numerous private collections.
